Hank Cochran wrote or co-wrote such hits as 'I Fall to Pieces' and 'She's Got You' for Patsy Cline, George Strait's 'Ocean Front Property' and 'The Chair,' and 'Don't Touch Me,' which was recorded by several artists including Jeannie Seely (who was married to Cochran), Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald.
Meanwhile, on April 25, the world premiere of the documentary, 'Hank Cochran: Livin' for a Song' will take place during the Nashville Film Festival. The film, covering the songwriter's life and career was directed by Wesley Pryor of Reel Cool Films and written and edited by the film's producer, Greg Welsch. Singer Jeff Bates, who, like Cochran, was born in Mississippi, narrates the film. Hank Cochran was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1974. He died in 2010 at age 74.
Jamey will next be heard on the Willie Nelson album, 'Heroes,' due out May 15.
