After his performance was met with deafening cheers, Scotty was joined onstage by 'Idol' host Ryan Seacrest and Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records Jimmy Iovine for a special surprise. They presented the 18 year old with a plaque marking platinum sales of 'Clear as Day' -- meaning that in less than a year, Scotty has gone from grocery store clerk to million-selling country music megastar.
