Music City took over Sin City on Sunday (April 1), as the 47th annual ACM Awards were presented in Las Vegas. Color and metallics ruled the red carpet as the stars made their way inside the MGM Grand. I thought overall they where good.. However I think all the awards should be given out
by the Acadamy.. Not the public.. that is why they have the peoples choice awards..

All was well till the very end when the MTV crowd voted the twit Taylor Swift entertainer of the year award. They might as well have given it to Aston Kutcher!

To quote Blake Shelton; Anybody who thinks Taylor didn't deserve it is fooling themselves. She played live to 1.6 million people in the last year, was Billboard's Woman of the Year, won more Grammys, the CMT's, the ACM's, (again) was the most downloaded in history, supported tornado survivors, flood victims and schools, and had nineteen countries at her feet. What in the definition of 'Entertainer' don't you understand? I suggest you listen to songs like Long Live, The Best Day, Never Grow Up and Haunted for starters, and go back to things she wrote at fourteen and fifteen years old like Our Song to begin to understand genius when it's IN YOUR FACE! Taylor is one of the most influentual people on the planet now, without singing about drinking, trucks and bars, so cry in your 3.2 beer and adjust your gut, lumpen proletarian. She's to big for you to hurt now, and she loves you anyway.

Watched about 15 minutes of it and turned it off. Over glitzed. Really bad jokes. Songs were even boring. If this is the future of country music, I'm going to have to find a enw genre.

I was a little bored too. I kept waiting for a surprise like Shania or someone to come up on stage and sing with someone. I already knew who was going to win too. I thought snubbing Tim and Keith was stupid. They are 2 of the best male vocalists and they had alot of success this year and they get nothing. The performances were good but nothing extraordinary. Sara looked like she was crying during her performance. She looked and sounded amazing though. Toby was funny. Rascal Flatts, Keith, Kenny and Tim, Sara, and Martina were my favorite performances.
