Fans of the MTV series, "Punk'd," will recall that the series' season premiere had Justin luring Taylor to a beachside home in Southern California for a fake songwriting session before shocking the 22-year-old with an elaborate prank that involved Japanese fireworks and a fake wedding. While that invitation may have been a ruse (making for some explosive TV and reducing Taylor to tears!), the two have obviously already worked together penning tunes. Branching out into other areas is something the pair have in common.
Justin notes that his new collection will feature an eclectic mix of musical styles. "It doesn't stay in a box," he explains. "Everything is so different and that's why I'm so happy with this album."
Taylor, meanwhile, has collaborated with another artist outside of country music. The superstar entertainer has recorded "Both of Us," a duet with B.o.B. for the southern rapper's album, Strange Clouds, out May 1. The rapper made a surprise appearance at Taylor's 2011 show at the Dallas Cowboys' stadium, to sing his hit, "Airplanes."
While it's not yet known whether "Both of Us" will be released as a single, the collaboration does include a crass word rapped by B.o.B., which represents a first for a Taylor recording.
Justin Bieber's Believe is due out later this year. No word yet on the title of the song Justin and Taylor wrote for the album.
