Written by Jon Randall, Jessi Alexander and Rodney Clawson, "Drink on It" is the third release from Blake's Grammy-nominated Red River Blue album. "It got right down to the wire," Blake recalls of recording the song. "It was the last song we ended up cutting for the album and ironically, it's one of my top three or four favorites on the record. It's a sexy song that I haven't heard anything quite like."
The uptempo tune also marks Blake's eleventh career No. 1 single. "I really couldn't be happier about this one," says the country superstar. "Country radio, you are my brothers and sisters ... I love you. Thanks so much for always supporting my country a--. Now, let's drink on it!"
The country superstar just wrapped up his sold-out Well Lit & Amplified tour, leaving him a little bit more time to breathe, as he juggles his music career with his stint as our favorite coach on NBC's "The Voice." Tune in tonight (April 16) as two artists on Team Blake face instant elimination, with the survivors' fate to be determined by viewer voting.
