Carrie Underwood, 'Live on Letterman' Webcast Set for Eve of Album Launch

Just a few hours before her new album, Blown Away hits stores, Carrie Underwood will take the stage for a performance that will likely blow us all away. On April 30, the country superstar will perform a live concert from New York City's Ed Sullivan Theater for the "Live on Letterman" series. We will stream the concert live, right here on www.theboot.com, on April 30 at 8:00 PM ET.

Carrie will most likely debut several new tracks from Blown Away during the show. So you can expect the concert to be a little bit country, a little bit rock 'n roll. "I grew up a lover of music, and if you look on my iPod I have the most random stuff," she says. "We go to photo shoots and they'll take my iPod and push shuffle, and I'm always worried about what's going to pop up because it's the most random mix of music ever ... I love singing different kinds of things, which is why I can do the Steven Tyler thing ('Crossroads') and the next week turn around and sing on the Grammys with Tony Bennett. Those are polar opposites, but I feel comfortable in both places. My album is a lot like that. It's a big old puzzle and everything has its own place. There's 'Good Girl' and there's some more traditional stuff than I've ever done before."

Blown Away, featuring the hit single "Good Girl," will hit stores May 1, the morning after Carrie's "Live on Letterman."

Iconic late-night host David Letterman is a longtime fan of country music and often handpicks the musical guests for his show, "The Late Show With David Letterman." In conjunction with CBS Interactive Music Group, his "Live on Letterman" series started back in 2010, with Brad Paisley as one of the series first musical guests. Other country stars who've performed "Live on Letterman" include Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift and Dierks Bentley. Read more about the webcast here.

I hope Carrie sings better then she did ACM night? Carrie was just awful singing " Good Girl " ACM night. It looked like Carrie forgot how to sing live and she was to concerned on looking pretty and dancing sexy. It was the fist time I have ever seen Carrie sing bad. Maybe cause it is a pop song but she seemed out of breath and insecure with her singing.

I saw Carrie sing good girl and I must agree that she looked like she did not want to be there singing and the audience could tell as no one stood up to clap for Carrie when she was done singing ( Her worst preformance ever live )

Have you all read that FAKE Carrie Underwood made 20 million last year story? OMG The girl has her worst year EVER and they lie and say she had her best year ( That is Carrie 4 u ) All BS now >> 20 million was from 2 years ago and it was gross not net Carrie made 13.5 million in 2010 and almost nothing in 2011 now that Carrie has crashed and burned!

I saw it ..... I think it is so sad for Carrie that they have to make fake story's just to keep Carrie in the news. Carrie has fallen so far down in country music. Her motto has been for the last year = put out any story no matter how fake it is (all news is good news) even FAKE NEWS!
