Music Row reports that Foo Fighters' lead guitarist Chirs Shiflett came out for the group's "Big Me," as well as for the Flying Burrito Brothers' cover, "Sin City." Also taking the mic that night was actor Garrett Hedlund, who performed "Hard Out Here" from his role in "Country Strong."
According to the trade publication, the stars were plentiful off stage, as well. Actress Kirsten Dunst, "Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet and rockers Foster the People were all in attendance for a post-show party.
Dierks is currently in the middle of a Northwest run, which will lead him to Seattle, Wash. on April 21. There he'll perform acoustically at the city's independent record store, Easy Street Records' Queen Anne location. The stop is all in support of Record Store Day, which is in its fifth year.
"Record Store Day is such a great event that has hardly had any attention in country music," says the singer-songwriter. "Some of the coolest exclusive product comes out on this day at indy retailers, and I wanted country fans to be able to get in on the action. I may have a few surprise special guests up my sleeve, too. I'm really excited to take over Easy Street for an hour that afternoon ... Seattle is such a great music town."
