If this Christina-Blake duet happens, RaeLynn will share credit for sparking the idea with two scantily-clad men. Christina took to the "Voice" stage last week to perform with her team and some hunky backup dancers, starting the performance with a snippet of the country superstar's "Hillbilly Bone" as the guys danced around Blake, doing a PG-rated strip tease.
"That. Just. Happened!!!!! @TheRealXtina I'm speechless," Blake tweeted just minutes after.
"@blakeshelton Now we need to team up for a country duet Blake!! I'm down!! Let's go!" tweeted Christina in response.
Blake may throw playful jabs at Christina every now and then, but his respect for the blond beauty is immense. He has called her one of the "greatest vocalists of all time" and has even praised his competitor's "Voice" strategy.
"That's an understatement to say that I'm 'open' to singing a duet with Christina Aguilera," Blake tells Stereotude, "more like I would pay her, I would beg her, I'll wash her car, I'll clean her house, babysit her kid ..."
(Let's just hope Christina doesn't take him up on the latter offer ... at least not for a few years.)
If this "Voice" dream comes true, it will make Blake the last of the show's coaches to team with their only female counterpart on a song. Christina is featured on the Adam Levine-fronted Maroon 5's "Moves Like Jagger." She's also recording a duet with Cee Lo Green called "Make the World Move."
