Bo and Caroline were married in 2005, just months after he placed second on the fourth season of "Idol," just behind future country superstar Carrie Underwood. The Alabama native has released three studio albums since his run on the show, with the first certifying gold, with more than half a million copies sold.
Proud dad Bo, who has dabbled in rock and country, is now stretching his musical boundaries even further by making a Christian EP. He plans to release the project on his own record label in the coming months. "I'm really trying to bring that Black Crowes/Lenny Kravitz feel to Contemporary Christian, and I'm not trying to thump people with the Bible," he tells Billboard. "I'm just trying to spread the word about what has helped me through life."
Bo has also developed a second career painting and selling his artwork. Music and art have provided therapeutic outlets for the 36-year-old artist, who has admittedly struggled with drug and alcohol problems.
"I've been sober since October of last year," he reports. "I took a retreat and got my head together. I quit drinking so much because it kind of got the best of me. Since then, I've really been focused on family, my ministry, and what the Lord has for me next."
Congrats to the Bice family on your beautiful new addition!
