Gino DePinto, The Boot
"After the passing of Earl Scruggs, it means the world to me to do these dates with this world-class band playing the music that Earl defined," Vince explains of the trek which begins June 13 in Richmond, Va. "I absolutely adore this music."
The Oklahoma native, who grew up loving bluegrass, says he is always happy to return to his roots. "I just love playing music," he notes. "I don't know why some people have to think that if they do well they can't be what they used to be. I like being what I used to be."
Vince, who recently announced that he is releasing a new album this fall with acoustic group the Time Jumpers, will be joined on the upcoming tour (through June 23) by singer/multi-instrumentalist Sarah Jarosz.
