Bucky Covington Bus Crashes in Alabama, Singer Not on Board

Monarch Publicity

Bucky Covington has been out on tour recently and on Thursday (May 10), the bus that carries the singer and his band was involved in a crash on I-65 outside Birmingham, Ala. According to a statement from his publicist, however, Bucky was not on board at the time of the crash as he had already been dropped off for an earlier appearance that day.

The Cullman (Ala.) Times newspaper reports that the driver of a Goodwill truck was transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon. The wreck occurred around noon in the southbound lane near mile marker 314, four miles from the Cullman exit.

A person on the scene identifying himself as the band's bass player, told the newspaper Bucky and the group were headed to Birmingham for a show tonight. Details on the Goodwill truck driver's name and condition were unavailable. Tonight's show and this weekend's dates in Germantown, Ill. (May 11) and Kenosha, Wis. (May 12) are going on as scheduled.

Bucky is among the country artists slated to take part in the City of Hope Softball Challenge in Nashville next month, just prior to CMA Music Festival. His latest single, "I Wanna Be That Feeling" is out now.

So sad. No comments because no one remembers who Bucky is.
