"I feel so fortunate to be apart of the Road to the Ram Jam series involving three things I am passionate about; trucks, honoring our military and country music," says Easton. "Growing up on a farm, I learned to love trucks."
Which is convenient, because the company has leased him (and all participating artists) a 2012 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn truck, which will be auctioned off at the beginning of 2013. Each artist chooses which charity receives the proceeds from "their" vehicle.
"Driving my new, loaded Laramie Longhorn is great and to be able to auction it off and donate the proceeds to the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund is an added bonus," Easton adds. "I am looking forward to this program and being a part of the Ram Jam Concert in Nashville in December."
The Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund awards college scholarships to the children of military personnel who have lost their life or a limb defending the United States. For the 2011 academic year, more than $1 million in scholarships were awarded to 240 children.
Fans who sign up for the sweepstakes will also have the opportunity to win a free download of the singer's new song, "Lovin' You Is Fun," from his forthcoming sophomore album All Over the Road. Get more information the Road to the Ram Jam here.
