"We've been in tour rehearsals for weeks now so it was great for us to get on stage and feel the energy and feedback from the crowd," Kenny said. "Tonight was all about playing music to help celebrate this great event. People in this town love music and helping out their neighbor and I was glad to be a part of it."
A big ticket item of the night was the chance to sing on stage with the "Reality" singer. For $10,000, one prosperous fan was able to join Kenny for "Somewhere With You."
Drew and Matthew also proved promising duet partners, helping Kenny out with the encore performance of "Boys of Fall."
"Kenny has been a dear friend and always expressed interest in working with the foundation. This is such a wonderful way to end the race and his support means the world to us," said Drew and Matthew in a joint statement.
The race is the signature event of the Brees Foundation, which was founded by Drew and his wife Britney. Proceeds from the race will benefit the charity, as well as Matthew and fiancée Camila Alves' Just Keep Livin' Foundation. Money raised will also go towards providing care, education and more for underprivileged children and families in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast.
Kenny is now headed back into tour rehearsals. His Boys of the Sun Tour with Tim McGraw kicks off June 2 in Tampa, Fla.
