Taylor Swift Peaks on Forbes List, Follows With $4 Million Donation

Just after coming in at No. 11 on the Forbes' Top 100 Most Influential Entertainers list, Taylor Swift is dropping a ton of cash in Nashville. Don't worry though, it's for a great cause!

The 22-year-old singer has announced her donation of a whopping $4 million to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The money will directly fund the Taylor Swift Education Center, a 7,500 square foot expansion to the Nashville institution.

"It will allow us to do what we do better, serve more people, develop new programs and I'm happy to say that as we talked through this opportunity with Taylor, she very much wants to be involved in an advisory capacity in what we do," museum director Kyle Young told the Washington Post. "Is there a better person out there who's in touch with a young audience? I think not. I was joking we should be paying her to do that."

The Swift project is a part of a much larger $75 million expansion of the entire Hall of Fame museum. Taylor's wing will feature two stories, three classrooms and an exhibit space geared toward kids. The Education Center is expected to open in 2014.

Will you "Taylor Haters" just please go dig a deep hole somewhere and jump in? I have watched her career from her very first single (Tim McGraw), and her professional growth has been amazing. She is an incredibly talented songwriter and artist, who appears to be constantly honing her skills and talents, striving to be better tomorrow than she is today. Far more important than all of the foregoing, however (and this is the viewpoint of a 66 year old father of two) SHE HAS PROVEN HERSELF, TIME AND AGAIN, to be a GOOD PERSON. She has humanity, humility and character. She has earned millions, and could be out spending it on yachts and exotic cars; she chooses to give it to charity. This is not the first charitable gift she has made, only, seemingly, the largest. God Bless You, Taylor. The world is a better place because youn are in it.

Taylor Swift has stooped to another new low.. giving money to the Country Music Hall of Fame just weeks before the TCM Awards on June 6th.. When will this dishonest form of getting votes stop?? She pulls this crap 3-4 weeks before every awards show just so she can pull in votes. I thought the awards were supposed to be based on your talent, not by how much money you can flash around or who you promise to show off at an Awards ceremony!!... So Damn Dishonest it makes my blood boil!!!!!

Mikee you are a nasty hateful little troll in your flithy cubicle spewing venom. She is someone who began creating great things very young, and giving to the world in ways you can't even concieve. May your blood boil over and your pustulant carbunkle of a head explode from the noxious poison it's filled with! Taylor's life is the cure for people like you, and sooner you leave our planet the better.

Taylor you are the best thing that's happened to American girls ever, and have already made your mark on history just as you intended at the age of twelve. Your sense of ressponsibility and ease with being an icon are awe inspiring, and your songs are anthems for young people struggling with their own growth. I've seen you live radiating love to your fans, and watched your goodness ripple out across the world in the past few years. Long Live just as your memory will, and the proof is being made even as I speak. And PLEASE get that next album out!!!
