Gary Allan Joins Boot Campaign for Returning Soldiers

Who says shoes can't change a person's life? Gary Allan is one of many country singers putting on a pair of military combat boots to support military personnel returning home from active duty. The Boot Campaign (no relation) works with military charities that help with physical and emotional issues returning soldiers face.

"As a former member of the Army, this holds a special place in my heart," Gary says. "I'm proud to work with such a fine organization. I'm headlining the Throwdown Tour this year and was glad to see that the Boot Campaign was going to be on the road with us. It's great that a tour of this size is working hand in hand with the Boot Campaign, supporting veterans as they come home from combat ... it just feels right."

Fans can participate, as well, by purchasing boots or other apparel from the campaign, which aims to help people "walk in the shoes of our military men and women to remember their service and sacrifice." Proceeds from each purchase go directly to the organization's partner charities.

Gary joins Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, George Jones, Gretchen Wilson, The Rock, Tory Aikman and Nolan Ryan as celebrity ambassadors for the Boot Campaign.
