"Kristian has been writing with people from Japan," Jennifer explains to ABC News Radio. "He's been to Sweden and doing some writing. He's obviously been doing writing stateside."
Meanwhile, the songstress has been spending her time working on future hits on her piano at home. "We've been doing a lot of different writing," she notes, "and we'll see how it pans out when we decide to go to the studio."
Jennifer and Kristian wrote ten of the 11 tracks together on their last CD, with Jennifer writing one song, "Shine the Light," solo.
The lady of the duo may not have much free time to focus on writing. Jennifer is also appearing on a new musical reality TV show, "Duets," which aired for the first time last night (May 24).
Sugarland's tour takes them to California and Arizona this weekend. See their concert schedule here.
"Duets," which also stars John Legend, Robin Thicke and Kelly Clarkson, airs Thursdays at 8:00 PM ET on ABC.
