Tim McGraw Unleashing New Songs on Brothers of the Sun Tour

Tampa, Fla. country music fans are no doubt pumped up for opening night of Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw's Brothers of the Sun tour this Saturday (June 2), and now they have yet another reason to feel lucky. They get to be the first to hear songs from Tim's upcoming CD!

"I've got a new record label and a full tour schedule, and I'm coming in loaded with some brand-new songs," Tim says. "I feel a sense of renewed energy. Everyone has been asking me about new music, but I've been pretty tight-lipped up until now. Saturday night in Tampa, the cat will be out of the bag."

The dad of three and husband to Faith Hill just announced he will release his next album on Big Machine Records -- home to Taylor Swift, Martina McBride and Rascal Flatts, among others. After settling a very-publicized legal battle with Curb Records over his contract last year, the singer-songwriter is eager to move forward with the next phase of his career.

"[President/CEO] Scott Borchetta has developed a powerhouse at Big Machine, and I'm happy to be a part of what he has built and to call Big Machine Records my new label home," Tim says. "Excited doesn't even begin to describe how I'm feeling about working on a new album for this next chapter in my career. Here's to the next 20 years!"

In addition to debuting new tunes, the "Better Than I Used to Be" singer will also give away the first of 25 mortgage-free homes to a wounded or struggling American soldier, as part of the new HomeFront program.

"My sister's a veteran, my uncle's a veteran, my grandfather was a veteran, one of my best friends is a veteran," Tim notes. "I've known people my whole life who are in service to America. My position to be able to do something like that is probably the ultimate thing. To be able to go on tour and provide sort of a stable foundation for a veteran and their family is something I really look forward to."

The Brothers of the Sun tour kicks off this Saturday, June 2. See the complete tour schedule here.
