The two-day golf event included the official ground-breaking for the center, which is expected to cost $8.5 million. Celebrities including Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Tim McGraw and Jason Aldean donated memorabilia to be auctioned off, which helped boost the grand total to a new record -- beating last year's amount by $14,000.
"In my job, you get to go to a lot of places and see a lot of things," says Toby. "But there's not much in my world that's more gratifying or important than helping these families. Turning dirt on this project is a big moment for me and a lot of other people who've been a part of making it happen."
Next on Toby's schedule is co-hosting the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, June 6, with actress Kristen Bell. The "Beers Ago" singer will kick off his Live in Overdrive tour on June 14 in Salt Lake City, Utah, with Brantley Gilbert serving as his opening act. Keep track of his tour schedule here.
