"Thank you for all the love today," the 19-year-old tweeted in response to a flood of well wishes. "I'm happy to share this news with you all. I feel like all my dreams are coming true."
Miley and Liam first met while filming their movie "The Last Song" in 2009.
"My parents are a little loco," Miley confessed during a press conference for the film. "So [it matters] if you love me and my family and my mom and dad and grandmother and my 10,000 dogs. If you love me after you meet my lifestyle, then you're a keeper."
In addition to planning their wedding, the couple are also busy at work. Miley is working on a new studio album, while Liam is filming "Empire State" in New Orleans, La. Next up, he'll work with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman on "Paranoia," before jumping into "Catching Fire," the second installment in "The Hunger Games" series.
