Carrie Underwood 'Blown Away' Video Preview

Carrie Underwood has landed in the eye of the storm for her upcoming video for "Blown Away." A preview of the new video shows a dramatic scene that allows Carrie to flex her acting muscles. Full of special effects, the clip is set during a powerful tornado, with the singer preparing to flee to safety ... and preparing to see her abusive father die in what is soon to be the rubble of her home.

The preview below parallels the song's chorus: "Shatter every window 'til it's all blown away / Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away / 'Til there's nothing left standing / Nothing left of yesterday / Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away, blown away."

Speaking of "Blown Away," Carrie will kick off her tour of the same name on September 14 in Manchester, N.H., with Hunter Hayes serving as her opening act. See a complete list of cities and dates on the trek here.

BTW - Each of Carrie's videos are EVENTS not just videos... she does not copy cat anyone, she is at another level than anyone else in country. Now, ML fans don't get mad at me but I doubt Carrie would have used Blake's brother death to write a song to pull the heart strings of fans, and maybe sales or awards? There is no proof of this but some things are better left in private, not for gain.

Carrie writes the most emotional, substantial lyrrics in pop music today.. who else puts feelings, eloquent ides, and grace into their music time after time? Answer = no one!! Yes, does crank out pop blocbusters as well (e.g. Cowboy Casanove, Last Name), but if you add JUST A DREAM, ALL AMERICAN GIRL, TEMPORARY HOME, SEE YOU AGAIN, GOOD IN GOODBYE,etc. you see those are amazing songs that make the listener feel something.. do you honestly think WHITE LIAR or ONLY PRETTIER are "deep", emotional songs like so many of Carrie's?? Look in the mirror cuz no one can say Carrie is not more talented than ML or TS. Just cuz ML sings with a deeper twang than Carrie doesn't mean Carrie is not country.. .CU came from a small, poor town from nothing to become a force to be reckoned with. Carrie is truly hitting home runs each time at bat. The industry makes a big deal about Taylor writhing her own songs, but she writes about boys, sweatshirts, and bleachers.. whie Carrie tackles much more mature and significant lyrics.. embrace her talent. Carrie is hte best vocalist of this or any generation... just look how she made Miranda, Jennifer, Judds, Christian and the rest CRY during her rendition of "Thou Art". The world knows Carrie should have won ACM Best Vocalist this year again, but Sony and politics gave it to Miranda again.. the funny thing is Miranda held a press conference to basically apologize for winning her album and vocal awards over Jason and Carrie, she and all of his knew she did not deserve it this year, but politics demand that Blake and Miranda (the "golden" couple) win every award now since labels/industry are trying to make ML a superstar. ML is a big star, but will never be at the level of talent of Carrie or Keith Urban. Miranda is a nice person, but not a superstar or incredible talent.. after all she placed 3rd on Nashville Star. NO ONE ever brings up her Nashville Star loss since that would take away from her perceived authenticity, but the truth is Miranda and Carrie both came from reality tv, the only difference is Carrie won. That doesnt matter since both women became stars in country, good for them. Last funny thing, Blake Shelton is quoted years ago saying that Nashville Star had better start getting the level of talent as Carrie Underwood, which confirmed that even he did not think Miranda (his future wife) did not have the same talent, passion, and star quality. If you have a problem with the truth talk to Blake, not me... good day.

I don't see how she's copying... this is a dramatic song, they needed a dramatic video. IT's different to any video she's ever done, that doesn't mean she's copying..

It looks like one of Miranda's videos. Carries is definitely a copy cat. She doesn't have one original idea come out of her. Miranda is probably the best female vocalists out there that is in her twenties. Carrie and Taylor are overrated. Miranda is going to be around for a long time. She is a great writer, singer and performer. Thats probably why Carrie has been copying off of her lately.
