AHH! I just read some of the other comments. Yes I've heard the "gay" rumors, but Randy had a problem with drugs & alcohol before he became famous. I don't think his drinking ruined his career. I think fighting with his manager/wife didn't help matters and if your not getting good songs to record, then you've got a big problem. Randy was great in the 80's. I watched his career from the very beginning. Honestly I haven't been listening to country for awhile because my kids hate it and I got sick of listening to them complain. I will always love country, I was brought up on it. I love George Strait, Alan Jackson, Kenny Chesney (bigtime & I have Renee Z. for hurting his career with that marriage bull she pulled) and yea they are also saying he is gay. And I like Tim McGraw & his Faith, she has a wonderful voice and she is very pretty, looks fabulous for having 3 kids too! I guess my point is they deserve a personal life, and I don't like it when rumors fly about the "gay" issue. I may live to be 90 and find out tons of people were gay, well that is their business. I just want them to be happy and not feel they need to hide, but I can see in the country music business how being gay could possibly ruin your career. It's not as forgiving I guess as say Hollywood or the movies, what do I know. I just like good music and looking at these handsome dudes! What can I say!

I knew when they first got married it wasn't a "real" marriage, at least I didn't want to believe that he could marry that old hag, AHH, she made me ill just looking at her. He deserved better. If he is happy to be rid of her then I am happy for him. I am not happy about all the legal stuff that is flying around. She can't honestly be after him for money, after all she is supposed to have been the one who "discovered" him and you know as a manager, they always make sure they get paid first.
I just wish him well. I've seen him in concert at least 5 times. The best show was in 89 at Universal Studios. I had just gotten married and a co-workers wife worked in the PR dept. and gave us her tickets. 4th Row! Awesome concert, loved every minute of it. I've also seen him in Vegas at the MGM Dec 30, 1988 huge, huge audience, then again in a smaller format can't remember what hotel. That was the same weekend we also saw Vince Gil. That was my country western concert weekend in Vegas when the kids were just babies! Had a great time, not to sure about my husband as he really doesn't like country music. Oh well, the sacrifices one makes in a marriage. It could have been worse, I could have been into heavy metal or grunge type music!
She always struck me as a very controlling woman and now she is paying him back. But, to be controlled when has to allow it. I feel sad for Randy.

Iused to like to listen to him sing... but not anymore...and his ex wife is not to blame for that!!
