That total already makes Fishbowl the 15th best-selling country disc of 2012, and eclipses the first-week sales of the superstar entertainer's last three albums, including 2010's Hemingway's Whiskey, which moved 183,000 units its first week and ultimately scored five Top 3 singles, four of which went to No. 1.
Kenny, however, couldn't touch the top-selling disc on the multi-genre Billboard 200, as Justin Bieber's Believe sold nearly twice what Kenny's did this week, relegating Kenny to No. 2. Fishbowl is only the second of his last eight studio albums to miss the No. 1 spot on that chart.
Thus far, Welcome to the Fishbowl has spawned a pair of hit singles, "Feel Like a Rock Star," with his Brothers of the Sun tour partner, Tim McGraw, and "Come Over," which is already in the Top 10 and continuing to climb. It's the second-best-selling country song on the digital sales chart this week, as Luke Bryan holds down the No. 1 spot there again with "Drunk on You."
Luke's Tailgates and Tanlines album is No. 2 this week, moving up one spot, no doubt thanks to the success of the summer-themed single. Last week's chart-topping disc, Josh Turner's Punching Bag, took a hit, dropping to No. 6.
The week's second-best debut goes to Country Music Hall of Famer Don Williams, who comes in at No. 20 with his first Sugar Hill release, And So It Goes. It's the legendary performer's best showing on the album chart since 1984 and marks the 18th Top 20 disc of his career.
