"There's a new Broadway musical that I had to turn down," Tim reveals to CMT, adding that the role has to be just right for him before he commits. "I wouldn't say no to anything offhand, but I tend to ... sort of like the darker side."
The father of three girls adds that it is difficult to find time to appear in films, even if he is drawn to the character. "The hardest thing is timing," explains the singer-songwriter. "You can read 50 scripts and not find anything that you like. It's much like finding songs. You could listen to thousands of songs and find those magic things. For me, it all has to start with a script. And if that's not right, then nothing's right."
If the rumors are true, the multi-platinum-selling singer may have to shelve his acting roles a little longer, while he joins his wife, Faith Hill, in Las Vegas for a series of shows. But for now, Tim's schedule is filled with crossing the country on his Brothers of the Sun tour with Kenny Chesney. The superstar has been previewing new music on the road, including his brand-new single "Truck Yeah," which will be released to country radio on July 3.
"We have been unbelievably excited about 'Truck Yeah' since the first show of the summer when we played it live for the first time," says Tim. "I'm really happy that radio and the fans will have access to it so soon."
