"Good Afternoon," which was co-written by Little Big Town (Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet), Brett Warren and Brad Warren, and produced by Jay Joyce, will also be used in promotional ads for the new TV series.
"Sometimes you get unexpected opportunities as an artist," says Karen. "We loved getting the chance to write and record a song for such a cool show."
"Good Afternoon America," featuring anchors Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer, is set to air weekdays at 2:00 PM ET and is taped live in Good Morning America's New York City studio. On August 2, LBT will appear as special guests on the show, and are slated to perform "Good Afternoon" and "Pontoon," which is already nearing gold status, signifying 500,000 downloads.
"Pontoon" is the lead single from the quartet's upcoming album due out this fall. The group continue on the Rascal Flatts Changed tour, with a pair of shows in Texas this coming weekend. Keep track of their tour schedule here.
