"My middle daughter, Emma, has always wanted to try her hand at acting, and so we have enrolled her in a couple of acting classes and workshops in L.A. this month so that she can see if it's something she wants to pursue," the powerhouse vocalist shares on her website. "This could be the beginning of realizing her dream, which is a beautiful thing. I know how supportive my parents were at her age and how they did everything possible to help me be able to sing wherever and whenever I could, and I'm happy we can do the same for her."
The 45-year-old views their summer excursion as one big adventure. "The idea of picking up and moving somewhere new is kind of crazy and kind of amazing!" gushes the songstress. "[I] will be tweeting and updating you on how everything is going over the next month so you can share in our journey. I have a feeling something really magical is going to happen, not only for Emma, but for all of us."
Not everything is about her "Teenage Daughter," though. Martina will take care of some business of her own while in California, as she appears on the reality TV talent show, "Opening Act," on the E! channel, which gives aspiring singers the chance to open for their own musical idols, including Brad Paisley and Jason Aldean.
"I think it's a really cool show and idea," she notes. "I love being part of making someone's dreams come true!"
Martina also has several dates planned on her intimate theater tour, in addition to a show tomorrow night (July 11) at L.A.'s Hollywood Bowl. See a complete list of concert dates here.
"Opening Act" airs at 10:00 PM ET on Monday nights.
