Chuck Wicks Song Lands on New Jason Aldean Album

Chuck Wicks penned ten of the 11 tracks on his debut album, Starting Now, and he is now happily sharing his songwriting talents with other artists. The 33-year-old has scored a cut, "You Don't Do Lonely Well," on Jason Aldean's next album, which is tentatively slated to hit shelves in October.

"You can't get any hotter than that guy," Chuck tells Taste of Country. "I'm such a fan of his. I love him as a person, and I love his music. He's talented as all get out, so it was a big deal when he said he was going to cut one of my songs."

Fans of the Delaware native will also hear his voice on the airwaves in the near future, as Chuck puts the finishing touches on his own set of tunes. "I'll have a new single hopefully coming out this fall," he reveals. "It's exciting. The creative process, for me, is the best part, so I've been writing a bunch. I'm really excited about the Jason Aldean cut, and I'm excited to get my stuff back out, too. I'm due. I released my first record in 2008, and what is it ... 2025 right now? It's time."

Chuck, who left RCA Records last year, still has plenty of concerts on his calendar, as well as a slot on Blake Shelton's upcoming 'Blake Shelton & Friends' cruise, where he will join Jana Kramer, Lee Brice, Randy Houser and Maggie Rose as onboard entertainment.
