Written by Dylan Altman, Rodney Clawson and Jim McCormick, the uptempo tune was released to radio this week and is sure to become a summer anthem. Listen to "Take a Little Ride" here.
Jason insists the success of My Kinda Party has not added any more pressure than normal to making his next album. He's just following his tried-and-true formula: picking songs he loves.
"I've always said what got me to this point was cutting songs that I thought were cool. I didn't think about that stuff when I cut My Kinda Party, so I don't wanna think about it now either," the singer insists. "To me, cutting a record is going in and finding the best group of songs you can find and make them sound like you. It's cool if you have those songs where you can push the boundaries a little bit, and we have some of those songs on this new album. This album is not much different. It's got some songs that kinda get out there a little bit, and it's got some more straight-ahead kind of things that we've always done on every record. I try not to think we gotta have an album that does better than the last one. Each album is its own thing."
While Jason is putting the finishing touches on his new set of tunes, he's also celebrating the massive success of his My Kinda Party tour. More than 20,000 tickets to his September 14 stop in St. Louis sold in just four minutes, while more than 24,000 tickets to Jason's September 15 show in Indianapolis sold in just two minutes. Every single date on the trek so far has sold out. Click here to see when he's coming to a city near you.
