Tracy Byrd Car Accident: Singer & Wife OK After Two-Car Collision

Tracy Byrd and his wife Michelle are recovering at home after a car accident that totaled their Ford Excursion Tuesday (7/17). According to Corpus Christi, Texas TV station KIII, the incident, which also involved a 64-year-old woman in a Toyota, took place on Highway 69, roughly 15 miles north of Beaumont, in the early afternoon.

Following the accident, Michelle underwent two operations on her left foot, but called herself "blessed" later that evening in a post on Facebook. While all three people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital, no serious injuries have been reported.

A representative for the Department of Public Safety told the station that the Byrds were driving northbound on Highway 69 when the woman in the Toyota, who was headed southbound, turned left onto Highway 327, causing the collision. She was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Tracy & Michelle I am sure glad that the 2 of you are ok and no serious injuries. I have to say Tracy has been my favorite country for years. I have seen him several times in concert and was also lucky to have the chance to meet Tracy at a concert. Take care of yourself. A fan forever

Praise the Lord for no serious injuries to anyone but the foot doesn't sound like it is minor. Hope healing is comfortable and painfree.
