What's better than desserts on Pinterest, "Downton Abbey," Chris Hemworth's hair, Fifty Shades of Grey and Beyoncé' and Jay-Z's baby girl, Blue Ivy? Well, Taylor Swift's cat, Meredith, of course.
The country star's feline friend topped E!'s list of the 100 Best Things in Pop Culture, thanks in part to her "giant, marble-like eyes of Pikachu and the tiny, triangular ears of newborn grizzly cub." The cat, named after the character Meredith Grey on the TV medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," frequently takes over Taylor's Twitter and Instagram, clearly enjoying her moment in the spotlight.
Taylor is so enamored with Meredith, she even took time out of her busy schedule to explain to her beloved pet how the voting process worked for the ACM Awards (where Meredith's "mom" was crowned Entertainer of the Year). Watch the hysterical video below.
Taylor, who recently took home five Teen Choice Awards, including one for Choice Female Artist, will get plenty of time with her kitty while she spends time at home putting the finishing touches on her new album. After wrapping up her global Speak Now tour in March, the "Eyes Open" singer is now focusing on a new set of tunes, which she hints may soon be in the hands of her fans.
"I'm writing you from Nashville, where I just sat in a big room with a lot of people and made a lot of decisions about a lot of things happening very soon," she divulged from her Facebook page earlier this month. "And as vague as that sentence was, I think you know what it means. Stuff is about to happen."
