"Going into an 8 hr surgery tmrw.....beyond anxious," LeAnn tweeted last night (July 29), days after scrapping shows in New Philadelphia, Ohio, and Carmel, Ind. "Thank goodness for a rocking Anesthesiologist :)"
The trouble began last Thursday, when the "How Do I Live" singer jumped on TwitLonger to update fans on her aching chompers.
"Waiting on the endodontist to meet me and do a nighttime root canal," she tweeted. "This is one of the craziest things I've ever been through. Trying to keep my mind off the pain & what's about to happen by saying hi to you guys. Life does not work on the right schedule sometimes. This is such bad timing!!!!! K, wish me luck. Much love!"
The next day, she offered a post-root-canal update.
"Happy Friday! I'll be spending mine in bed," she tweeted. "My mouth kills!!! I feel like the girl in the Exorcist where she can't stop moving her head around on the pillow. I can't get comfortable! Hopefully, no pea soup will come shooting out and I won't be moving any dressers in front of the door to our bedroom w/ my mind :) no possession here, just rediculious tooth pain!"
Fortunately, she found ways to keep her mind off the agony. In addition to working on artwork for her upcoming Spitfire album, LeAnn joined folks around the world in casting her eyes toward London.
"I've been on the couch most of the day, super fun!" she tweeted on Saturday. "Watching the Olympics. We have some beautiful girls on the US Volleyball team.Great players."
