Sara Evans was feeling a little brave on Sunday (July 29) when she posted this photo of herself (left) on Facebook with no makeup. A mere ten minutes later, it had 3,130 Facebook "likes"!
"You look better without makeup," one fan wrote underneath the picture.
"I wish people would learn that makeup just ages your face before your time. You are gorgeous without makeup," posted another follower.
"Hot is an understatement!" reads another glowing comment. In fact, of the more than 5,000 comments as of the posting of this article, it's hard to find a single negative response. Plus, the "likes" are now up to more than 43,000!
Sara explains she was particularly pleased with the way her stylist had done her hair that day, so she snapped a photo -- even though she'd just showered and hadn't done makeup yet. She decided on a whim to share the pic with fans, but she had no idea that she was soon to be flooded with praise.
"We were truly shocked. I've never had that many 'likes' on anything," says Sara. "I think people responded to it because it's just very real, and as women we are way, way too hard on ourselves. It just felt good to send a picture out with no makeup -- just me exactly as I am -- and get that kind of response."
