The jab was, of course, in regards to Darius' chart-topping hit, "Alright," in which he sings, "I've got a stereo and the best of Patsy Cline."
While @NotJakeOwen -- a.k.a. "Cake Bowen," whose only descriptor is "I'm not Jake Owen" -- has received many responses from various artists, he probably didn't expect Darius to call his bet, posting a picture of the Patsy Cline CD (see below) and, "@NotJakeOwen Pay up - $500 and make it out to @StJude."
As you can see above, not only does the former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman live up to his claim in the hit song's lyrics, he's got a a pretty diverse collection, ranging from Radney Foster to Stevie Wonder.
Although, Darius actually got off easy, as most of @NotJakeOwen's tweets about artists are downright cruel. Here are a few examples from recent history:
"It's too bad Taylor Swift can't write herself up a hit relationship."
"The only way the Tony Awards can get any gayer is if Luke Bryan performs."
"Looks like Dave Haywood is going to lose his strangehold on worst haircut this year to the Band Perry boys."
"According to Tennessee state law, Justin Moore must be secured in a child passenger restraint system while riding in his tour bus."
No word yet on whether or not the unnamed tweeter is going to pay up, but we'd give $500 to anyone who could tell us who @NotJakeOwen is!
