Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Las Vegas Concert Series to Begin in December

Darrin Bush, AP

The Las Vegas strip is getting even more country royalty. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill will play a series of weekend concerts at the Venetian hotel and casino's 1,800-seat theater, starting December 7, 2012 and running through April 2013.

"I'm so excited. This is thrilling for us to be a part of this extraordinary experience," said Faith at a press conference Tuesday (Aug. 7) at the Venetian Theatre (pictured above). "The Venetian has welcomed us in such a gracious way. We're creating a show that is going to be remarkable for our fans. But I think it is going to be one of the most remarkable experiences for us, as well."

This is being called the biggest musical event ever held at the Venetian, which opened in 1999 and is currently home to "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Blue Man Group." The gargantuan hotel and casino is just next door to the Wynn Las Vegas, where Garth Brooks' weekend shows began in December of 2009 and are currently slated to run through this fall. And down the road at Caesar's Palace, Shania Twain will be starting her concert residency this December, as well.

If history is any indication, the McGraws' Sin City shows are almost guaranteed to sell out. The couple's 2000 Soul2Soul Tour was the highest grossing country music tour that year, while their 2006 Soul2Soul II Tour broke the record for the highest grossing country tour of all time. The couple, who will celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary this October, can't wait to share the stage again.

"We're excited about building this show from the ground up," says Tim, who promises "cutting edge production" and different elements from any other tour they've done before. One of those changes, he hints, is that instead of separate sets, they'll share the stage for every song. "This show is all about us together," the "Truck Yeah" singer promises.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale tomorrow (Aug. 8) for Tim and Faith's fan club members, Clear Channel subscribers and Venetian Grazie members. The general ticket sales begin August 13, with prices ranging from $95.50 to $295.50. Get more details here.

The Boot will have an exclusive interview with Faith and Tim about their Vegas concert series later this week.

sounds to me like some people are a little jealous. yeah,,they have a lot of money but you know what they do with a lot of it.they donate a lot. they have charities nobody knows about. they each help people when they can. they are both very nice people, and he came from nothing. His mom had two jobs while raising him and his two sisters,so he knows about being poor. he was even on food stamps.Faith was not raised the same, she was adopted and both her parents worked. it was not a bad life for her. but they both know the struggles.

Don't talk about people that you don't now and never met. I met them many times and they were both extremely nice and wonderful people. They are both extremely talented and wealthy. If you want to talk about a fake person, then mention Carrie Underwood. She is as fake as they get. She is cruel to my students and then acts like she is a woman of faith and acts like she is a sweetheart. Faith and Tim are very nice people. They helped get a fan's car towed after it broke at his concert and then got their people to call and pay for a cab home. I was shocked at their niceness.

I cannot wait to see them! They are both unbelievabe artists. They are so sweet and down to earth as well. I hope they broadcast it on tv one day. As well as Shania's show.
