Justin Moore's current single, "'Til My Last Day," began as love song to Kate, his wife of five years, and it's the first love song he's ever released. The video for the tune offers a snapshot of the singer-songwriter's world, showing his life on the road and onstage, as well as his time with Kate and the couple's two daughters, 2-year-old Ella Kole and 8-month-old Kennedy Faye. (Watch the video below.)
In spite of the sweet nature of the love ballad, Justin found a way to make it fit his outlaw country style perfectly. "I was listening to a ZZ Top song, 'Rough Boy,'" he reveals to GAC. "I just liked the groove of it and I thought, 'Well, that still sounds tough. I could sing something like that. So, we sat and wrote that song. I think it came out good."
Justin's wife obviously thought it did as well, since she felt compelled to have a few of the lyrics engraved on his most important piece of jewelry.
"My wedding ring was kind of big on me and slapping people's hands on stage, it almost came off a couple times," he explains. "So, she got me a new ring and she got engraved in it some lyrics, 'I can love you the best.'"
The Arkansas native is currently on the road. See him tonight (Aug. 9) in Jefferson City, Tenn. Get more information on Justin's tour dates here.
