Kelly Clarkson Covers Trisha Yearwood, 'Walkaway Joe' (WATCH)

Kelly Clarkson has started having musical cram sessions before her concerts, as she picks one lucky fan to request a cover song for her to sing that very night. At a recent tour stop in Alpharetta, Ga., however, the request was for a song the Texas superstar likely already knew by heart.

"This woman is my favorite singer in the entire word," Kelly gushed before introducing the night's chosen cover song, "Walkaway Joe." "Her voice is like crystal; her voice is straight from God."

That ethereal songbird is, of course, Trisha Yearwood, with whom Kelly says she'd love to do a duet someday. Watch the original "American Idol" perform Trisha's classic country tune in the video player below.

Nice job, but it doesn't compare to Trisha's version (in my opinion), which is slower, more soulful, and the words are clearer.

Loved it...Kelly did Trisha's rendition proud! Who would ever thought she just learned this song in one day?! GREAT JOB!!!! I hope she does get her wish soon to do a duet with Trisha, it would be a great pairing.
