The Shalom Foundation, a Tennessee-based non-profit organization dedicated to offering humanitarian aid to children and their families living in extreme poverty, recently sent 14-year old Angelica Morales to Vanderbilt's Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital to complete surgery on a complicated vascular malformation which required more resources than were currently available at its Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City.
