Hank Williams Jr.: Obama Is a 'Muslim President' Who 'Hates the U.S.'

Barack Obama won Iowa in 2008, but given the local response to what Hank Williams Jr. said Friday at the Iowa State Fair, he might be in trouble this November.

"We've got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him," the country star said, drawing cheers from the audience, according to the Des Moines Metromix.

Never one for subtlety -- or, you know, fact-checking -- Hank Jr. has been outspoken about his distaste for President Obama. Last year, he made national headlines when his comments on a FOX News broadcast cost him his job with "Monday Night Football."

Bocephus has also badmouthed President Obama on record, and on "Take Back Our Country," a tune from his recent Old School, New Rules album, he addresses the prez directly, telling him, "pack your bags, head to Chicago, take your teleprompter with you so you'll know where to go."

Asked to weigh in on Hank's tirade, Brad Anderson, an Obama campaign rep in Iowa, seemingly didn't know where to begin.

"That type of absurd nonsense doesn't really deserve a response," he said.

I agree Hank!! Obama wants to bring America on it knees to worship Allah he wants to turn USA into a Islam nation! Time for people to open their eye and see what he's all about!!

There is a reason we don't let people who sing run the country. Hank is welcome to his opinion, but I don't take him seriously. His ignorance is abundant by simply saying Obama is a Muslim. You don't want to vote for him fine. But don't expect me to take you seriously by using the birther line. I also agree if any of you were upset that the Dixie Chicks attack POTUS when it was Bush but are now willing to do it...you only prove you are a hypocrite.

I will spare everyone the torture of reading this three separate times. I love his music, but Hank is no political expert about anything. Glad he's still touring strong though. A lot of stars with the mileage he has on him would have quit by now.

i am definately with you hank jr i saw a bumper sticker yesterday that said i am a conservative republican , i get up and go to work everyday to support my family and 3 liberal democrats i thought this is exactly the truth , but for obama and his freeloading voters they believe in entitlement , this makes me sick and our founding fathers are rolling over in thier graves , what happened to taking care of yourself and your family this is the american way but to many people today want someone else to take care of them. mainly the government i pray people figure this out and vote this fool out of office before him and his freeloading followers take this great country down may GOD BLESS AMERICA. PLEASE VOTE OBAMA OUT OF OFFICE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.....

Do you think that by repeating your statement it makes it more true? So, let's see, I'll bet you were all pissed off about the Dixie Chicks, but this moron goes around insulting POTUS and you're all for it? Great double standard there. And I wouldn't take my political information from bumper stickers (although I have to say, I LOVE the one that says "It took Obama to Get Osama!), because the statistics show that the blue states (you know, the Dem ones) actually have more federal funds outgoing than incoming. All our tax money goes to support the red states. I'm a liberal Dem, who has worked all her life, paid all my taxes, put my children through school, and never gotten a dollar I didn't earn. You need to stop with the knee-jerk reactions and actually learn something, little girl.
