Woman Pleads Guilty to Faking Indiana State Fair Injuries

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - An Indianapolis woman has pleaded guilty to trying to collect money from funds intended for victims of last year's deadly Indiana State Fair stage rigging collapse.

Stephanie Murry was charged along with her aunt with submitting injury claims totaling $22,500 to a private relief fund and the state tort claim fund even though authorities said neither one was at the show by the concert duo Sugarland.

WRTV and WISH-TV report that Murry pleaded guilty Monday in a Marion County court to forgery and perjury charges.

The plea agreement calls for her to be sentenced in October to four years of work release, a year of probation and to perform 100 hours of community service.

Charges are still pending against Murry's aunt.
