"I think human beings are drawn to other human beings who are beautiful or handsome," the Missouri native -- herself a former People magazine's 'Most Beautiful People' honoree -- tells E! Online. "I do think that it probably helps to sway people towards liking somebody, if they're handsome or if they're fit or if they dress good. It probably shouldn't be that way, but it's almost like human nature."
While Sara thinks it's natural to be persuaded by good looks, she doesn't condone using it as the justification to choose a political leader. "I definitely don't think anybody should be voting for someone just because they're cute!" she insists, adding that if she does support the Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan ticket in November, it will be due to her own political beliefs. "My tendency has always been to lean more conservative ... I don't know that I can say I have [decided] for sure, but I'm leaning towards Romney."
Sara is headed back on the road for a calendar full of shows after the convention. Her next stop is Friday (Aug. 31) in Tuskahoma, Okla. Get a list of her tour dates here.
