Taylor Swift VMAs: Singer Ends Show With 'Never Ever Getting Back Together'

Taylor Swift finished off a fairly uneventful MTV VMAs with a performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," the lead single off her new album Red.

Donning a red-and-white sailor shirt and bright red lipstick, Swift started the performance by pretending to be in a recording studio. The stage then changed over to resemble the song's music video, with backup dancers and animal-costumed musicians joining her as she belted out her latest breakup tune.

With no Kanye in sight, she was able to finish the song without incident, although someone at MTV did decide to pan the camera to Taylor Lautner -- who Swift once dated and sometimes acts like a werewolf. Being the good sport that he is, the actor simply smiled sweetly and clapped.

I just don't get why people think she's such a good singer. She's always flat and off-key. And this song belongs on Pop radio. There's nothing Country about it.

All her songs sound alike; none of her songs are country; she can't sing; and the thing about dating an 18 year old is a little creepy.

This performance was not as bad as some of her others, usually she looks awkward. The song is really immature though, and she was obviously lip syncing.
