While he has previously played the Ryman as part of the Grand Ole Opry, the headlining gig has special significance for Chris, who was raised in nearby Murfreesboro, Tenn.
"The first time I set foot on the Ryman stage was an unbelievable experience," says the country star. "I am so grateful for the support of my hometown crowd all of these years and saying I can't wait for this show is an obvious understatement."
Headlining shows has obviously been a long-term aspiration for the artist who already has five No. 1 singles in a row to his credit.
"The biggest goal I have for myself is moving from the middle slot as a performer to headlining, maybe a year or two down the road," Chris told The Boot last year. "At that point we would be talking about another album as well."
Tickets for Chris Young's Ryman show go on sale next Friday (Sept. 14) at 10:00 AM CT and are available via the Ryman box office and www.ryman.com or via Ticketmaster.
Additional information on the Liquid Neon tour will be announced in the coming weeks.
