"It's not gonna cost you people a dime ever again, and you're going to have the same access to pre-sales, and everything that you've already had up until now will not change," he explains (quote via Country Weekly). "So, don't freak out."
The superstar entertainer assures loyal members that the only changes to the fan club will be positive ones.
"All the hard-core BS'ers out there, I don't want you going, 'Oh my God!'" he says. "It's not going away. It's gonna be better. It's gonna be free, and there's gonna be all the details on the website, on blakeshelton.com very soon ... It's really not a big deal. It's just gonna be free from now on, and I think that's pretty cool, especially with the way the economy is today."
The multiple 2012 CMA award nominee has earned an entirely new fan base thanks to his appearance on the TV show, "The Voice," which is now in its third season. He joins fellow celebrity mentors Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5's Adam Levine for what he says might be the best season yet.
"Season three, it really does trump both the first two seasons for so many different reasons," he told the "Today" show recently. "There's been a lot of rule changes, and the coaches, we've all had our fights and got back together again. It seems like it's made us, as a group, that much tighter. We all have each others' backs when it's time to, and we're stabbing each other in the back when it's time to, also."
Blake will play two shows in Texas and one in Oklahoma next week (September 26 to 28) to wrap up his tour schedule for 2012. His holiday album, Cheers, It's Christmas, is due Oct. 2.
"The Voice" airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8:00 PM ET on NBC.
