"I really want there to be so many surprises left on the record for when it comes out," Taylor explains to Rolling Stone magazine. "Some collaborations that haven't been talked about and some songs that are definitely what make the album so unique."
That's not stopping her from giving fans a little more info, though. First, the songstress divulged that she wrote with frequent Adele collaborator Dan Wilson, and that she recorded a duet, "Everything Is Changed," with British pop star Ed Sheeran. And the secrets keep spilling!
"There's a song called 'Holy Ground' I'm really excited about," the Pennsylvania native gushes. "Jeff Bhasker produced it. There's a song called 'I Knew You Were Trouble' that I wrote with Max Martin and Shellback that I'm stoked about."
The CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee is even letting fans hear the new tunes prior to Red's release. Taylor will share a 30-second snippet of a song each Monday on "Good Morning America" in the coming weeks, with the song released on iTunes the next day. Yesterday (Sept. 24), the songstress shared the album's second track, "Begin Again."
"It's a song about when you've gotten through a really bad relationship and you finally dust yourself off and go on that first date after a horrible breakup and the vulnerability that goes along with it," the superstar explains of the ballad's clever lyrics. Download "Begin Again" here.
The debut single from Red, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," became Taylor's first No. 1 pop single. Pre-order the full album here.
