"It just doesn't feel like a weight," Taylor explains on the ABC show, "Nightline." "There are times when it gets really busy and I get intimidated by all of it, but most of the time I'm able to really go back to that place where it feels balanced."
The "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" singer, whose impressive earnings also ranked her in the third spot on Forbes' list of Highest-Paid Celebrity Women (behind Oprah Winfrey and Britney Spears), is a bit surprised that her efforts have resulted in such a windfall.
"I called my dad and said, 'How did that happen?'" she says in the current issue of Marie Claire UK magazine (quote via UK's The Sun). "I just wake up every day and go about my life and do what's on the schedule. I don't think in terms of how much money it's making."
Taylor, who reveals she wants at least four children, says she's already earmarked some of her earnings -- and as a result might opt for a bigger brood. "That money will be really good for sending my kids to college some day -- or maybe I'll have a few more kids than I thought."
And even though the singer-songwriter hopes to have a large clan, she isn't shopping for a minivan just yet. "I want to wait a while, but the idea of pouring everything you are into another person when you become a parent has always been amazing to me," Taylor notes.
Planning for the family she hopes to have someday is nothing new for Taylor, although she admits she's prone to anxiety. "I worry about everything," she acknowledges. "Future, past, present, where is this all going, what am I going to feel like in 20 years. What about in 28 years? What's my life going to be like? Where am I going to live? Where am I going to send my kids to school. What about this and that and that? It's literally, everything."
Taylor's upcoming CD, Red, will be released Oct. 22. The title track was released this week. Listen to it here.
