The GreenRoom PR

Barely more than a week after announcing his three upcoming stadium shows, Jason Aldean's performance at Boston's Fenway Park sold out today in seven minutes. This week, the first-time CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee, who will also play Chicago's Wrigley Field and the University of Georgia's Sanford Stadium in 2013, is also enjoying the view from the top of both the Billboard 200 multi-genre chart, and Billboard country albums chart with his latest album, Night Train.

"When we started talking about playing stadiums, my only request was to play venues that were special and really meant something to me," Jason says. "At 100 years old, Fenway Park is one of the most iconic baseball stadium in the country and there is absolutely nothing in the world that could be more special than selling that place out ... as an entertainer and as a huge baseball fan. This has been the most unbelievable week ... all I can say is THANK YOU."

The singer's favorite stadium show to witness as a fan also took place in a baseball stadium, and will likely serve has a plethora of inspiration for his own dates.

"I went to see the George Strait tour when he had Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, all of those people opening for him," he recalled to The Boot and other reporters last week. "I went to see him at Turner Field and it was the first stadium show I'd ever been to, and I remember looking around going, 'This is probably the coolest thing I've ever seen.' Playing a baseball stadium, and the place was sold out and people were everywhere. That was the first one and probably the coolest one I've ever been to."

Jason, who is the first country artist to headline the venue, will be joined by Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett at the July 13, 2013 date. The Sanford date, which will include Jake Owen instead of Miranda, is the next to go on sale, with tickets available Nov. 2 at 10:00 AM ET. The Wrigley date -- which features Kelly Clarkson -- goes on sale Nov. 3 at 10:00 AM. Get more info here.
