2012 CMA Male Vocalist of the Year Is Blake Shelton

"I'm gonna be totally honest, I've had a few drinks since the Song of the Year announcement," Blake Shelton said as he accepted his third consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year honor, having taken the stage earlier with wife Miranda Lambert for writing the 2012 Song of the Year, "Over You."

"Country radio, thank you for not forgetting about me," the "Voice" coach said. "I know I have a side job , but country music is still what I do and still what I love, and I love my fans. Thank y'all!"


Although Blake has won the award three time, he has a couple more years to even tie another fellow Okie, Vince Gill, who took the honor five consecutive years, from 1991 to 1995!
