Aaron Lewis, 'The Road' - Behind-the-Scenes Video Premiere

Aaron Lewis The Road albumBlaster Records

Aaron Lewis is the unmistakable voice of the hard rocking band, Staind, so finding success with his first solo country effort -- the 2011 EP, Town Line (featuring the huge hit, "Country Boy") -- came as a nice surprise.

"It's a challenge," Aaron says. "A country audience is a different audience and they don't know what to expect from me at first. It's cool when you're winning an audience over that isn't expecting what you're about to throw out."

The Massachusetts native continues to prove his country cred with today's (Nov. 13) release of his first full-length solo country album, The Road. In the exclusive behind-the-scenes video below, Aaron talks about several tracks on the project, including the one that brought this seemingly tough guy to tears. He also tells a great story about Blake Shelton giving his country confidence a boost. Watch the video below, and listen to The Road, track by track, for free here.

If you don't want any of Aaron's stuff, don't listen to it, pull the string and enjoy the day. It's his thing and he can do what he pleases. Why not start commenting on artists you enjoy listening to instead of taking time out of your day to bash something you have little knowledge about. Ignorance is bliss

Go back to rock Aaron. Those of us who appreciate real country music don't want you. Many of us are tired of your self serving selfish political views. Many of us country fans are part of the 99% - 47% you display constant disrespect and hatred towards. You know those of us with ENTITLEMENTS, such as veterans with the GI bill, or those of with kids who have pell grants, or those of us who have elderly parents on social security medicare and medicaid. We pay taxes too. That's right Aaron we the 99% - 47% pay taxes. We the middle class pay way more taxes than you and your 1% buddies do. Keep your hateful comments to yourself if you want to survive in country music. Remember we country fans are part of the 99% and 47% that you hate so much, and we don't have to buy nor listen to your music. The truth is there's more money to be made in country than rock right now, right Aaron. But guess what you aren't country you've never been country nor will you ever be country. Because country is not about where you live, but what's inside of you. Go back to your STAIND filled yelling and screaming. You're nothing but a fraud.

Exactly, he's another spoiled rich "rock star" that wants to horn in on country fans wallets. Alan Jackson warned us of jacktards like this in "Gone Country".

Are you kidding me, this is fantastic. A true artist with actual talent. Glad to see this guy has become successful in country as well, Staind was always a great band. And Country Boy WAS a successful hit, you just didn't hear it on radio, because it was too blunt and for real and not mainstream enough for most people. That's a GOOD thing. BTW, we'd all like to hear your country record...oh wait...

And "Country Boy" was not a huge hit. It petered out at 50 on the chart. Do your research.
