A handful of country music classics are among the 27 recordings chosen for the 2013 Grammy Hall of Fame. The class of '13 includes "Act Naturally," popularized by Buck Owens in 1963 (and later the Beatles) and written by Johnny Russell and Voni Morrison; "Bonaparte's Retreat," performed in 1937 by Kentucky fiddler William H. Stepp; the 1961 album, Foggy Mountain Banjo by Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys; and "The Titantic," a 1924 recording by Ernest V. "Pop" Stoneman.

Other artists whose recordings are being inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame include Elton John, Billy Joel, Whitney Houston and Paul McCartney & Wings. See a complete list of Grammy Hall of Fame recordings from previous years here.

The Hall of Fame announcement is just the beginning of what will be a busy and exciting Grammy season, and it's one that will include Music City in the mix. For the first time, the Grammy Nominations Concert will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on CBS, Dec. 5 at 10:00 PM ET. Taylor Swift and LL Cool J will host the special, which will also feature performances by Luke Bryan, Maroon 5, Fun. and more. Tickets are available here. The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Feb. 10, 2013, and will air live on CBS at 8:00 PM ET/PT.
