Luke Bryan had an historic night at the third annual American Country Awards in Las Vegas Monday night (Dec. 10). The country singer went in to the live broadcast leading the list of nominees with nine nods -- and he took home every single award for which he was nominated, including the night's top honor: Artist of the Year.

Miranda Lambert took home the second most electric blue guitar trophies of the evening, winning Female Single, Female Video, and Most-Played Female Radio track with "Over You." Carrie Underwood was named ACA Female Artist of the Year for the third year in a row, with Lady Antebellum taking Group of the Year for three consecutive years, as well. Jake Owen is the ACA's Breakthrough Artist of the Year, while high school senior Lauren Alaina is the New Artist of the Year.

It did seem that the winners already knew they had won ... except for Lauren Alaina who looked totally shocked. I loved the performances, especially Keith Urban who played with the kids. I thought it was the best performance of the night.

What a joke of a show. Explain to me how Little Big Town, who are the reigning CMA Group of the Year, weren't even nominated in that category?

And how can Luke Bryan have an "historic" night, with awards that are only three years old?

Thank heavens for the DVR and the FF button, so I didn't have to waste two hours of my life on this mess.

I agree Reesa, the ACA'S don't seem to ring true. I only clicked on every now a nd then but it seemed like the winners already knew they had won before their names were called. I don't know maybe it was just me. I too love Trace, but I watched other shows last night.,(VOICE and Micheal Blubles Special)

We don't need the acas. We already have acms, cmas and cmt awards. This award show was stupid! I love Trace and Kristin though.
