Country artists hit the road in full force throughout 2012, and their hard work has obviously paid off. Billboard tallied the biggest tours of the past year and, not surprisingly, some of country's biggest stars made the list.

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw's Brothers of the Sun is the highest-ranking country tour, coming in at No. 7 on the list. The men raked in an impressive $96,458,890, playing 23 shows to more than one million fans.

Jason Aldean's My Kinda Party tour landed in the 13th spot, grossing $39,956,703 and selling out all 59 shows on his trek. Lady Antebellum is right behind Jason at No. 14, selling out 72 of the 88 shows on their Own the Night tour and grossing $38,358,801.

Brad Paisley came in at No. 15, earning a hefty $33,790,267 for his Virtual Reality world tour. The final leg of Taylor Swift's Speak Now world tour earned her the No. 24 slot, grossing $26,310,160 in only 21 shows, while Rascal Flatts took the 25th spot for their Changed tour, with $26,155,360.

Pop icon Madonna tops the chart overall, selling out all 72 shows on her MDNA tour. Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band came in at No. 2, followed by Roger Waters, Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour by Cirque Du Soleil and Coldplay rounding out the top five.

The Brothers of the Sun tour not only became one of the Top 25 tours of the year but also topped Pollstar's list of highest-grossing summer tours of 2012.

"This year's tour was very unique, and every stadium, city, and crowd had its own energy that was special," Kenny told Billboard. "It was inspiring, really, to see how much music means to people, and how much their favorite songs mean to them. It's why I love what I do. This years tour was all that. And more."

I think Blake was just as shocked as everyone else when he won. It's not his fault. Maybe they pick the person who is "it" and this year it happens to be Blake.

But Blake Shelton got Entertainer of the year. For what, the Voice. This guy has been in the business over ten years and hasn't even sold 10 million in albums. Never had a album even sell 3 million. Never had a top country tour, heck he hasn't even had a top 5 country tour of the year. To think he has an entertainer award and Tim Mcgraw only has ONE is a joke. Tim who has sold over 40 million albums, had the number one tour many times, made history with one of his tours, named the most played artist of the last decade, sold more albums than any artist in country the last decade, been in movies. Blake can dream on but he will never accomplish what Tim has. Heck with all the press his current album hasn't even sold two million.
